How To Be Truly Unbothered And Become “That Girl”

How To Be Truly Unbothered And Become “That Girl”

Daydreaming is one of the ways we choose to easily distance ourselves from our current reality and from the people in our day to day lives in order for us to have that intimate focus on our own selves.

Having that intense feeling and the motivation to curate and become that amazing, successful dream girl in our heads, is something we should all desire.

But it’s not always so easy to put those goals into reality.

Truly becoming that girl who has her own ideas, formulate her own opinions, knows where she wants to be in life, isn’t easily influenced, is truly confident and isn’t triggered or let the way others choose to spend their lives stop her own life…is never going to be easy.

But… It’s also not necessarily difficult.

So, with that being said, here are just a few ways you can start changing your mindset and start becoming that better version of yourself today.

#1 Start Letting Your Skills, Talents And Successes Do The Talking

Using these unique and gorgeous traits about you is a silent, modest and strategic way to move up in life.

Find time to invest in your talents, build on the skills you have and obtain new skills.

When you start to be “selfish” and focus your time, efforts and energy on things that will help better yourself in the long run, you no longer have the time, effort and energy to focus on things and people that add nothing to your growth and self-development.

It’s super important to start setting boundaries for yourself and be picky about the type of people and the type of things you allow to enter your life.

#2 Start Doing “Unheard” Of Things On Your Own. Enjoy It Too!

…And by “Unheard”, I don’t mean going completely nuts or by indulging in insensible things that go against your values and morals.

Take up the challenge of doing that particular thing you’ve been thinking about doing for a while now.

Stop being fearful of what others might think about you. No more of that anxious feeling reminding you that you’re doing something unusual and unexpected or doesn’t suit your character.

It’s time to just do it.

#3 Keep Your Mouth Shut For Once!

This tip is definitely a lecture I should really sit down and listen to.

When you have that aura of mystery, there is a level of beauty and attractiveness that you have.

Of course, I’m not saying to keep silent after witnessing something absurd… but what I am saying is, not everything you do needs to be echoed from your lips.

Sometimes, it’s great to delay information especially when it comes to the new ideas you want to develop and overall when it comes to your level up journey.

#4. Understand And Accept That You’re Never Going To Be The Best At Everything

Striving to be above average at everything might never work out in your favour.

Sometimes, it can really be a benefit to you to just stop constantly and desperately trying to be the best at everything in your life and simply focus on those key areas that will result in you being much more positive, skillful and more confident overall.

So although being the best at everything is highly improbable, here are a few things you can surely be the best at:

  • Focusing on yourself

  • Keeping healthy, fit and alert

  • Being happy because true happiness really does derive from you first.

Here are 3 things I’m competing with myself to be the best at:

  • Playing the piano perfectly by ear

  • Learning fluent Spanish (so that I can watch my telenovelas without subtitles or it being dubbed in English…ew)

  • And acing my college course.

#5 Just Stop The Comparing

Comparing your skills, your appearance and the general aspects of your life to another person’s is never a good idea.

Deleting all social media platforms or by simply blocking, muting and unfollowing that particular influencer or celebrity are some of the obvious and necessary steps most take to eliminate this problem.

However, it becomes more difficult to simply delete and carry on when you find yourself comparing yourself to another person in your day to day life.

Unfollowing and blocking them out of your life completely is just not as easy to do.

But when you are finally able to control your emotions and manage certain people and certain situations from affecting your mood negatively, you’ll start to notice just how fulfilled you are with your own life.

#6 Remember That “Time” Is Selfish And Is Unlikely To Be Your Best Friend

Translation: Time doesn’t wait for anyone. So don’t waste your time and life waiting for others to be ready with you.

If you haven’t before, know that now is definitely the time for you to start loosening up those ropes and distancing yourself away from others that keep failing to add anything to your growth but instead, slow you down.

Heck, it might even be better to cut ties completely.

#7 Simply Just Move On

Unless there is lesson to be learnt, stop negatively focusing on the past and start focusing on the present so that you can ultimately obtain a more successful future :)
