So, Here Are The Main Things That Will Be Addressed In This Blog Post

  • What is this process of glowing up

  • The benefits of striving towards a permanent glow up

  • And lastly, the different things you can do in order to enhance your natural beauty

So, What Is “Glowing Up”?

It’s the term one uses when they are trying to better or transform themselves into a new creation or design…or at least, that’s what it means to me.

For me, glowing up is not only about transforming my physical appearance but it’s also about improving my mannerisms, habits, confidence and my mentality in general.

Glowing up for me is mostly about self care and self development than it is to get compliments and looks from people.

But I can’t deny that getting someone else to appreciate your looks is such a lovely and self boosting feeling.

Sometimes, in order for you to better your attitude, characteristics and mindset as a person, you’ll have to look and feel the part which will then give you the push you need to continue on your glow up journey.

5 Reasons You Should Do A Permanent Glow Up

Because…

  1. You'll have this new sense of confidence that no one will ever be able to take away from you.

  2. You’ll form amazing habits that will always stick with you.

  3. Others will be able to see the changes you’ve made in yourself.

  4. You’ll have more opportunities, better chances of success, and a new way of thinking.

  5. Whether you are aware of it or not, your transformation will somehow be inspirational to someone else. Even to the people who envy you or tear you down.

#1 The Face

This is the part of the body that people will always see.

It’s the one part of the body that gets the most judgement, whether that judgement is good or bad, and it’s the one part of the body that is almost impossible to hide and conceal.

Knowing this, many may run to makeup in order to temporarily transform their faces into the standard of beauty that they desire, while others may run to cosmetic procedures to permanently transform their faces into the world's standards of beauty.

Truthfully, you don’t actually need any one of those things to be seen as beautiful, as your natural beauty, believe it or not, surpasses all of the above.

All you need to do is pay attention to how you can naturally and successfully enhance the already beautiful features on your face.

Get A Mirror And Start Paying Attention To The Three Main Features Of Your Face

The Lips:

While most people like to make eye contact when they are speaking to you directly, others like to look at the lips.

Thus, it is extremely important that, at no time, your lips be dry and appear as if they're peeling and breaking off.

The lips are very sensual features of the face and should never be neglected.

A good lip scrub that is able to scrub the breakage off and soften your lips should be an essential for you to have, as well as a good lip gloss that can give shine, colour, and a bit of plumpness to the appearance of your lips.

The Eyes:

The eyes are seen as the main focus of your face.

This is because the eyes are able to capture and sense different emotions while giving emotions themselves.

The beauty of the eye comes in different colours, shapes, and sizes, all of which we are not able to control or change.

However,

Certain things, such as the brows and lashes that surround and highlight the eye, can make your face appear attractive or unattractive.

Try putting away your brow pencil, growing your brows out, and only brushing.

A clear brow gel could really be all you need for your brows.

As for lashes, research how you can get healthy, long lashes, as this can really accentuate and add beauty to your face.

For me, I’ve come to figure out that a clear conditioning mascara or simply some coconut oil is the key to giving me long, thick, and healthy lashes.

The Teeth:

Everyone loves an amazing smile. Everyone wants an amazing smile. And to achieve an amazing smile, some people get braces, while others may get more serious procedures such as teeth implants and other things.

Now, if you have the utilities to do so, then, by all means, go ahead.

However,

Simple things such as taking the plaque off and whitening your teeth may be the only things you need in order to transform your smile.

Also, don’t forget that having a fresh pack of mint gum when you’re out and about is a necessity, as oral hygiene also adds to how attractive you are perceived.

Other Things: Freckles, beauty spots, cheekbones, and dimples are only a fraction of the things that you should be trying to emphasize and highlight as they’re truly something beautiful.

#2 Your Style (The way you dress)

I’m sure you’ve heard many people say to you that the way you dress gives others a sneak peek and a trailer of what you are all about as a person, and this is somewhat true but not entirely true, as sometimes looks can be deceiving.

Find out what you want your new style to be, as it’s time to be out with the old and in with the new.

This doesn’t mean you have to throw all your old clothes out and buy a bunch of new ones, although this does seem much more effective and a much more permanent way of glowing up in the long run

But…

Simply putting different outfits together is a great way to switch up your style.

Also, please don’t be deceived and think that only your outside and public appearance are the only things that matter when it comes to the way you dress.

To glow long-term, you have to start at home.

This means putting away that baggy sweater you’ve been wearing for one week straight and starting to dress up.

Put on your lotion, spray your perfume, do your hair, and look presentable.

Anyone could be coming to your home unannounced, and you don’t want to be rushing to find decent and appropriate clothing to put on.

Besides that, dressing up at home leaves you feeling new, expensive, and beautiful.

Clothes:

Try to be unique, and by unique, I don’t mean putting a shoe on your head and a hat on your foot.

What I mean is, stop trying to copy the horrible beauty trends that you see being posted on social media.

Yes, they might look fancy and very high-fashioned, but they are also being worn by everyone else.

Just because it's expensive doesn’t mean it looks good. Just because it shows all your assets doesn’t mean it looks good.

To glow up, you’re trying to be your best self and not the three hundred thousand people that all look the same

Taking Photos Of Yourself:

This is truly a great way to boost your self-confidence and improve your appearance and image.

Buying a shutter remote control is a really good item to purchase if you are not so comfortable with someone taking your photos, even though someone else taking your photos, is also another great way to boost your confidence.

Looking in the mirror at yourself should be a daily thing that you do, more than once a day.

Grow Your Hair:

Whether you grow your hair, cut your hair, dye your hair, or whatever, make sure that it's never abandoned or neglected and is always looking its best, whether you’re out in public or at home.

#3 Toning Your Body

Worry about the stretch marks, the pimples, and the hyperpigmentation later...or not at all.

Focus more on what you know you can change first without spending any money on creams and chemicals that might not even work.

Focus more on the nature of your body, which can be easily accentuated and emphasised by doing exercise.

Glowing up doesn’t only mean trying to transform what other people will see; it's also about transforming the hidden components of things in your life.

This means that you shouldn't only feel good when you have clothes on and are all dressed up, but also when you’re in your natural form, in your own naked skin.

Stop taking inspiration from the social media influencers that have two huge basketballs for breasts, a toothpick for a belly, and Earth’s globe for a bum.

THAT IS NOT REAL!

Even if you truly believe that if you exercise enough, you can easily look like that, you’d have to do some serious persuasion because hardly anyone would believe you, as natural beauty is now getting lost in this world of unrealistic things.

Anyway, what will happen when this particular ideal beauty standard dies out? Because sooner or later, you’ll be seen as last-season fashion.

Don’t get caught up with this rubbish. How about toning your body and trying to get an achievable set of packs on your stomach or just exercise to know that you are being healthy? 😊

RECAP

Here are 5 main points that I think you might have missed while reading:

  1. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Don’t expect to be able to captivate everyone with your beauty and your good looks.

  2. To be seen as beautiful, you have to think about yourself and believe that you are beautiful. People like to regurgitate the energy they’ve been given, so don’t make the mistake of radiating the wrong energy onto other people. Start being confident in yourself.

  3. Glowing up doesn’t just mean enhancing the features people will always see. It’s also about glowing up the hidden components that people won’t, and probably will never see.

  4. Glowing up should never be a one-day thing or something that seems fast and highly achievable. If you want to glow up, aim to glow up for the long haul and not just for the fun of it.

Remember that you are glowing up for yourself and not others. The end results will only affect you, not them.
